Barcode Scanner

Barcode scanner is the device that converts the barcode into letters and numbers by scanning the bardcodes. The device is connected to a computer through serial port or keyboard port which store the letters and numbers that are decoded by the scanner. The computer must be installed with barcode scanner software, to convert the electric signal sent from the scanners into letters and numbers.

Every Barcode Scanners are built with decoder circuitry and sensors which used to decode any barcode images. The barcode itself is a series of vertical lines and spaces, differentiated from each other on the width and spacings. They’re included with a start bit and stop bit, also sometimes contained with checksum bit which are used to check the accuracy of the barcodes.

Inventory control management is the most basic protection form every business should have for their retail establishment. The Inventory Control Software and systems are commonly used to prevent inventory loss issues or shoplifting and maybe from employees stealing stuff.
