If you are wondering whether or not the Indian $35 tablet device would really become a reality, then you have to check this out.
India’s Human Resource Development Minister has just reported to promise that the Indian government would be releasing a million of these $35 tablet devices to students starting at 2011, which does mean that the tablet will have a number solid backing behind it.
We do see some specifications of this $35 Android-powered tablet, which includes confirmation that it will feature 2GB of memory, Wi-Fi, 3G, as well as microSD card expansion.
Please don’t expect to see this cheap tablet hit retail shelves soon: the Indian government plans on making it available for students and universities in mid-2011, with no plans yet for launching to the general public.
